Paris Motor Show 2010 - Mondial Automobile
The 2010 Paris Motor Show takes place between 2nd & 17th October. Bee Design are proud to reveal some of the recent projects they have been working on.
Lotus Esprit and Lotus Elan – Concept Cars
The new Lotus range of cars was unveiled at Paris this week including the new Esprit and Elan. Bee Design Ltd designed and supplied interior assemblies for both vehicles on show. The dashboard binnacle clusters were engineered, manufactured and supplied by Bee Design. These are complex assemblies with aluminium and carbon fibre components housing computer controlled HD graphical dials – all developed by Bee Design in Redditch. The integration of this technology into show vehicles is a specialist area for Bee Design having now completed many successful projects of this type.
Jaguar C-X75 – Concept Car
The exotic-looking C-X75 concept was revealed at Paris on Wednesday. Bee Design developed and supplied the mechanical system and electronic control to articulate and illuminate the needles within the instrument cluster. The concept presented many challenges which the Bee Design team rose to, finding new ways to provide the articulation required within such a tight package. The units were supplied as a complete self contained package ready for assembly into the vehicle at Jaguar.
Design Manager at Bee Design, Paul Wardell, “we are proud to have been involved in such high profile projects supporting Lotus and Jaguar, two of the UK’s most prestigious brands.”
